A month into a New Journey

A month ago, I committed to myself to give myself a reboot, and go back to learning something new. It was hard, but I knew I could give it a shot and try to attempt it. To achieve that, I signed up for a course in web development called Jadu. The aim was to learn how to code for effective web development and potential employment. They’d be teaching web development both frontend and backend using various tools.

During the course of these four amazing weeks I learnt how to make a simple html website, how to host it on free platforms, use different tools like github for code repository, surge to host my web, discord to connect with peers, tools like sublime and vs code to write code on, and how to make pretty neat web fronts using html and CSS.

What was impressive and astounding to me was that how helpful people are, how encouraging, how keen to guide and mentor, whenever asked. This world is still a better place, humanity and compassion is not history yet. All it takes is to be polite and inquisitive, with an honest attitude towards learning. We all have the mindset to grow together. It just needs:

  1. Patience and honest learning and feedback mechanism in place.
  2. Effective mentors who are motivated and motivating.
  3. Practice, practice and loads of practice.
  4. Preservation of the childlike wonder deep inside.
  5. Families and friends who support your dreams. 💚

I still have a few months to go in this program, and a long way ahead of me to be a good coder, and it’s just a start. Here is to hopefully end up somewhere good, and having an even better learning journey that goes way beyond text and instills in me, something better and good.
